Who We Are

We help hundreds of adult and youngsters in Tibetan exile community to find hope.

“Kunphen”, which literally means “universal benevolence”, is the first and
only registered Tibetan non-governmental organization (NGO) that provides
programs focusing on treatment and care for individuals living with substance
abuse problems. It was also the first to address the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the
Tibetan Community in exile.

What We Do

“ It's reassuring to know to know that kunphen has been quite successful in creating awareness of the detrimental nature of alcohol and drug abuse, and encouraging that it is dedicating itself to caring for and treating those affected individuals.” - H.H The 14th Dalai Lama

Kunphen is the first and only institution for recovering Tibetan drug and alcohol users. We provide treatments, community education and empowerment to all affected by drug and alcohol misuse.
Prevention & Education : Kunphen centre always educate the school student, youths, older people and general public. We distribute pamphlets, brochures and booklets on various diseases for schools and public. We observe/celebrate world health days and try to gather as much as public to make awareness through power presentation and expert speakers.
